Personally I wouldn't buy it unless I am building a show car. It does make a difference when you pop the hood and that M power 4 pot shows its glory. For what it is and taking into consideration of the era this motor had poke but it had to be revved to be enjoyed. m30b32 had 145kw and 285nm if i remember correctly but that had power everywhere not just high up.
I think its sort of a combination of an m88 and m10, so its definitely doable for someone with the right skill-set.
I agree, unless for show, there are better, cheaper options.
I love m30, but i don't think its a practical swap anymore if we're talking e30.
