How fast or how quick

Is it all about how fast your car can go over a long distance or how quick you accelerate to your top speed.im often told that " I did 245 indicated and sat behind an M5",,, so I think , well , you're on the national road so you do your top indicated speed but does this mean you have a fast car or have you just built up speeds over a very long distance.

I agree with Moranor, my wife can also go 250kmh in a sraight line, it is all about geting through the bends fast. I always wish for a superbike to come past me when travelling through Magoebaskloof! Especially when I am behind the wheel of my M3!!:thumbs:
