How fast does your needle move of full mark 320d

Hi guys,

okay, as most of you know i have acquired a 2010 320d Exclusive with the 16 kaka mags.

so far, i filled the car up with Engen 50ppm diesel. i have driven 160km and the needle has moved from full, and is now on the 2nd stroke below full...probably will move toward the 3rd if im not mistaken. the range still says 890km after a highway drive from Randburg to Bedfordview (work)....is this normal consumption or correct or is the needle moving to fast?

the car was and still is very tight, the previous owner didnt drive it hard at all. if the consumption isnt right, is it possible that i need to take it on a long drive to clear up its lungs perhaps??

Mine gets to 3/4when I do about 350 plus km on the open road. And about 550 km on half a tank.

I also add nf diesel boost in every second tank. But I reccomend that sometimes you just take n nice trip of about 100km on the open road to start the cleaning process.

Your consumption seems fine buddy

The LCI's are a little heavier than the pre-lci from my experience :=):

On the LCI I'm currently sitting at 7.5 L/100km as per the OBC (extremely hard driving).

I've covered 389km's on this tank with the needle on one stroke above half, with the OBC indicating 489KMS to empty:thumbs:

Dippies, I'm curious as to why do you use NF boost instead of injector cleaner ? NF's core function is to boost the cetane level of the diesel

Nf diesel boost also cleans injectors and takes out the water from your tank.

My needle on the LCi moves very quickly mostly because of the short distances I travel.

I get roughly 560 - 600kms on a full tank

The needle only moves off the full mark after 200km. The f30 however is lighter on fuel than the E90 due to the gearing. I would however look at if the car was correctly filled. I use Total and Shell 50ppm because their diesel does not foam. Its possible that if you used a brand that foams a lot the attendant could have stopped filling with the first click. If this was the case you could have been as much as 3litres shy of full.

bru, i checked the fuel level with him bru, to make sure it was filled properly.

but i will always make sure of this going forward, thanks for the tip bru
