hot spots for truck drivers strike? and why im thinking of leaving S.A

on my way home this morning,was about 3 to 5 cars behind a single cab bakkie,with white canopy on.it had just gone under the bridge by esslleen park on the p91,towards old pretoria road,when a bunch of thugs with bricks and rocks,came running out and threw it at the bakkie.

naturally i stopped,but later a double cab went through and same thing,so made a u-turn and left,also at another robot on old pretoria roaad and bapsfontien,towards r21 highway,there was glass and enough bricks to buil a small house

the bad thing about this is the bricks that missed the bakkie hit a car travelling in the opposite direction(woman and child),also the bricks that did hit the bakkie wer going all over the place and even hit the cars behind the bakkie (i think a bm).

the saps were sitting and watching this,but did nothing to help,or stop anything,which is normal.

the other thing i would like to know is,what is the difference between a bakkie,a double cab and a truck?as it seems we all fall into the same categories

the other thing is,if it was truckers strikeing,how is a small company,with say 1 or 2 bakkies ,suppose to survive?

seeing this,brought back bad memories of the eighties,and when i got home told the wife that i have now had enough of south africa,and its time to look overseas,not for me but for the safety of my son,actually quite sad

I'm hearing in Australia that a student working part time, 6 hours 3-4 times a week get paid $1600 a month, but seriously grass is not always greener on the other side:nonono:

Disgusting!! Violence like this can only be tackled using violence in return - and as such, army should simply be ready and waiting to attend to these issues (what is the point of having an army), and then simply over loudspeaker tell the crowd in the 11 official languages to FO for go or die!

What makes this even worse is I work like 1 kilo from there and I have 2 routes home, past that exact spot or on the R21 highway. And I drive at night time so thats even more dangerous.

I say shoot the fuckers.
Maybe we can get some black market guns somewhere and just have a field day and afterwards go to a random police station and say we found the gun on the side of the road? :fencelook:

They arent thinking of anyone else except themselves. I was speaking to my mom yesterday about all these price hikes and the fluctuating petrol price and she told me about the barrier type fund the Goverment had to stop it form happening. It was like something over 2 billion rand, where has it all gone? And she also mentioned that they thinking about some type of reform of SA which will mean all our salaries will double, but also everything will get more and more expensive, maybe someone has some info on this as well?

understand that overseas isnt that great at the moment,but its not me im thinking about,its my 11 year old son.what future does he have in this country?
will he be able to get a job?etc etc
