HOLY GRAIL IN BLUETOOTH SCANNER FOUND

Hi All,

I am very excited to share this with you guys.

It read my car perfectly and cleared the faults.

Today I went to RDG to find out about the torque converter. The guy plugged this bluetooth dongle into my cars ODB-II. I told him it will not work. I have tried several and never had any luck.

Newsflash!! It worked!

I asked for the name of the device. He gave it to me and told me it costs R15,000. I think he was trying to scare me off.

Well I found it online:

It is not cheap but it is not R15k either. I am buying one!! I will do some more searching to see if I can find it cheaper.

You can buy a decent Launch diagnostic for R4-8k locally

On an E39, obdII…

Cable off of Ebay for under R500, a copy of DIS and NCS-Expert and you can do more then what a dealer can do....

All you need is EDIBAS working, and you will be able to download DIS, which is dealer level, if you want to go one step further, get SSS and you can do module level programming as well.

If you want to change options in your car that not even the dealer can change, get NCS Expert, and if you want to break your car, get toolset32.

All of these software I mentioned are freely available off the internet, are original BMW tools, and there are plenty threads about it.

If your going to spend 10k or more, just get a ICOM head with a copy of Ista/d and you can do the lot
