Hi All,

My 320d E90 2006 has 273 000km on the clock now with full BMW service history.

I have had to replace the turbo at 250000km (actuator failed)
I have had the gearbox filter replaced
Back left window jams sometimes if it is all the way down.
Airbag light is on due to battery safety terminal problem.

Is there anybody else with higher mileage?

What was the cost of the turbo replacement?

I got the turbo from
http://www.turboworks.co.za
It was R7500 but I amsure the price may have gone up.

Thanks for starting this thread,:ty: I am looking at a E90 LCI 320D M Pack manual and I was not really sure how long they run for without issues and how much they would be to repair so started looking at the 320i option even though I really want a diesel.

Would be nice to see what other post about their cars to ease me back into a diesel.

It really does boil down to how the previous owner/s looked after the car, there are a few common maintenance items on these, crank pulleys, turbos (sometimes) etc, but all in all they are fantastic cars! I would strongly advise against going for a 320, you will hate your life... trust me... the 320d is MILES ahead, and really worth the tiny bit extra

the presenters on Ignition TV buyers guide would squirm at this mileage, they are adamant that after 100k all diesels are going to go bang

Haha apparently there was a guy on Buyers Guide that had a 2007 E90 320d with 760 000kms, he was offered R25 000 for his car. I was shocked to know he got that sort of mileage out of his BMW and it was still running strong.
