thanks twins, spoke to my mate now and he says it could be a faulty injector but i must take it in and he will check everything.

The HPFP doesn't affect how fast or slow the engine cranks over, but rather the time it takes for the engine to actually start up - have seen a number of vids showing an affected engine cranking over at normal speed and either starting eventually and sputtering before stopping again, or not at all. But the fact that it's going into a limp mode, best is to take it to the agents and let them sort it out!!
