Hi guys I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Mark, I am mostly active on the VW club of SA ,use to own a VW polo 1.9 Tdi & Ford Focus 2.5 ST,Recently sold the ST ,So I am in the Market to buy a used car either a BMW E46 330d Manual (150kw) or a E90 320d not sure yet .

I think you should go for the 330d as that will keep you happy :rollsmile: not saying the 320d is not nice...

Go have a look at the E90 320d take it for a drive and the same with the E46 330d... Thing is if you going to look at the E90 320d it will be a 2005/2006? So that will be the 115kw, where the 2004/2005 e46 F/L will be 150kw...

I know I am going to get bored with the 320d and you both know how i drive ,so I am leaning towards a E46 330d .

I will take that advice Wayne as i am in no hurry to buy a car as i have transport.

Seeing that you are used to 5cyl turbo power I would also say 330d all day any day.

BTW those 1.9TDIs were so much fun, wheelspin all the way :rollsmile:

E46 330d in good nic is hard to find but well worth the hunt. There is a wealth of info on here regarding them. They have very efficient injectors and from my findings a healthy E46 330d runs nearly as economical as an E90 320d. This is comparing the 2 we currently own and driving them the same routes.

The 6cyl is just so much more satisfying in every possible way.

I know of a good one that is kind of taken, but will also keep an eye out for you.

So after some thinking and looking at cars ,I have changed my mind I want a e90 330d

Had a look at a nice and clean one with silverbird_96kw on Saturday but want to look at a few others as well before I commit myself.
