Hey guys,

So this is a late thread. I've been so busy over the last couple weeks that I didn't get a chance to post my ride here.

Anyway, here it is, my 1998 318is Motorsport 2.
I bought it at 151000km, with full service history with BMW Umhlanga and Supertech.

Firstly, sorry about the 6th photo. I don't know why it rotated, and I don't know how to rotate it back

The car is bone stock, with exception of the sharkfin which I will be removing soon, (the front corner diffuser thingys aren't on the car)
Since I got the car I had did a service, replaced the clutch kit, fixed the sunroof mechanisms, fixed the cd changer & replaced the rear tyres.
I also bought a BC racing coilover kit (sorry for not taking your advice Moranor) the BR-RA kit. It just arrived and the built quality is amazing. I will post pics of it soon.

On my list to do are:
Exhaust System
Chip/Remap?
Install the coilovers
Change the headlining and such to the M3 parts - for a full black interior.
Refurbish the wheels (original colour?)

I am loving this car so much, and the handling amazing!
My only wish is that it would be a little quicker on 1st and 2nd gears.

Thanks for reading,
Cheers!

Thanks guys!

I searched for about two and a half years for the right one!

Its funny, in the year this car was being made, I was in school busy drawing these things. It was my dream to own one. I finally made that childhood dream a reality.:inlove:

Thanks!

I'm not expecting much gains, since it's an N/A car, but I hope for better throttle response. Any suggestions on the chip?

That's a great example of good looking 318is Motorsport. I wanna read your review on the coil overs. How much did they run you by the way?

I will fit them soon. Just need the time! But i will review them. It cost me R10800 for the kit, and R380 shipping from CPT to DBN.

Very clean E36. Congrats.
Keep it stock, as the gains will be minimal... Rather spend the money on preventative maintenance or keep for a rainy day....

I'm not looking for higher numbers on the dyno chart, just more responsiveness to haul this big car with greater ease. I can really feel the weight. However, at 3rd, 4th and 5th gears, the car is pretty effortless.
I probably need to do a little more research on this, but i don't plan to do any other mods except chip and exhaust.
