Hi all. I am a student from Cape town. I don't own a BMW yet. I am in the market though. I joined a long time ago to read up info and to have access to the classified section. But now i have a problem and thought its time to post

I am desperately looking for an e90 323i/325i/330i M-Sport in manual (other options also considered..130i etc), looking to pay up to R160k. It has been very difficult finding a nice one that isn't cheap and nasty. Also cant post a wanted ad in the classified section yet.

BTW this is a great forum. Ill be posting a lot more if i can find that right one

Welcome and thanks for joining our community. Rather than advertising a WTB, which you will only be able to do after a certain amount of posts, feel free to browse the FOR SALE threads for a possible match to your specifications as listed above.

Hope to see you on the BMW Runs and Events

Welcome.
I see you joined in 2013.

I will change your intro slightly (since you not selling anything) to see if you can get a better response from members.

Thanks for the response. I have been searching. I was going to have a look at a 335i 2007 coupe manual tomorrow with 105k kms for R170k. The guy decided not to sell.:blueCry:. Oh well a 335i seemed a bit excessive for my needs anyways.

Thats an excellent price...twist his arm :=):

Looks like he sold it already, saw it on a dealer site. for R190k, still a good price

Opinions please, What would you choose?. A pre-facelift higher end model or facelift 320i. Seems like those are my options in this price bracket. One can't have it all hey.

Dont get a 320i... Rather go 320d then... You'll get them for the similar money and its a much nicer car to drive IMO

Get a diesel...NEVER get a e90 320i..the N46 engine has some strange problems..IMO...For around R160K I am sure you can even find a 330d pre-facelift..very scarce but if you look hard enough I am sure you will come accross a decent one.you can even look up here in Gauteng..Guys on the forum are always willing to check out a car and give you honset feedback if you are really serious about it.GOODLUCK!

In my opinion rather look at 320d than 323i or 325i. The 320d has huge amount of low down torque and will put a smile on your face when you gget to the pumps. Its very economical for the amount of power you get. Awesome daily drive and in most cases quicker than the 323i and 325i

Agree. Check the diesels out. They have really surprised me seeing and hearing the fanatics diesels in the flesh. Especially with software and zorst

This has been a frustrating two weeks of searching.
In a week or two's time I'll be taking delivery of a white 2007 335i manual m sport. Has 106k km for R170k. There are some cosmetic niggles. but it can be easily fixed, just minor wear and tear.

Was a bit of an impulse decision. I hadn't read up on 335i's and the common faults before the sale. I am a bit worried now. But overall i am mega pleased.:=):

Thanks for the help

Don't fret...we all here to help you along the way. Get a full report from bmw SA while you at it, so we can see if the recalls were done on the car.

Also...a lot of people make the 335 out to be a nightmare car, but really it's anything but. Best car I've owned till date...and coupled with the pricing decline on parts on the n54 as a trend now, replacement parts pricing are not AS scary as they were a few years back.

Welcome and looking forward to your pics and tales of the new cab.

Congrats mate! N54 335i coupe's all the way.
They have some problems, but worth it. Get the service history from BMW and most of the problems would have been fixed I reckon.
Enjoy her, sure you are already :tiptoe:
