help with RATTLES!!

Hi Guys

i recently purchased a 2009 120i M sport
with just over 100,000km

car is in immaculate condition and was well taken car off
1 lady owner

my problem is i have picked up this UGLY rattle (plastic clunking noise) over the past week
it appears to come from within the centre of the dash

its silent on th highway, but absolutely annoying on our normal crappy jhb roads.

anyone know of anyone that does rattle repairs?
or anyone that encountered a similar problem and had it resolved?

help will be much appreciated.

Check the ashtray lid, you must open or close it and see if the noise doesn't go away for a while.

i did check that, its more higher up like above the vents.
cannot describe how its annoying me lol :argh:

I also have this same little rattle on the passenger side of the dashboard in my 135.seems to be coming from near the windscreen...:thumbdo: very annoying when driving on uneven roads

all rattles and mechanical noises "magically" disappear with the loudness button on the radio...........some good trance or house and you're sorted

Funny that...my rattles usually disappear as soon as I put my foot down!thanks to the decat Performance exhaust:rollsmile:

CURED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:joy::joy::joy:
it was control arms, had them all replaced, upper and lower, left and right.
feels like brand new and is silent once again:joy:
