HI GUYS, I have a e36 Virt with e46 330ci rims on, almost look like the e36 M3 wheel. The wheels have 225/45/17's on like the e46 came out with but the e36 want a 225/40/17 . well the car drive's fine now with standerd suspension but i want to lower it with a eibach pro kit, i think its 30 or 35mm drop in front and 20 or 25 in the rear. it looks like the tyre will maybe scrape the fender but not sure.

any of you guys have a eibach pro kit in your e36 with 225/45/17'' tyres on?

It wont touch, I got a 40mm Bilstein springs with 235/40/17 tyres and it doesnt touch the fender. Another guy that I see around in town also got a 40mm drop with 225/45/17 tyres, he doesnt have any issues of tyres touching the fender either.

Here in east london there is one straight piece of road in town where the rear tyres lift off the tar as you go over the crest , you can hear the engine rev up , if not for this enjoyment I would also put 17's on my e36 .

I have the Pro kit for my E36 sedan, and it's a 35mm front, 30mm back drop. I was running 225/45/17 all round originally, without issues. I am now on 235's on the rear and had a small issue, which was quickly resolved by a mild rolling of the arches. From what I can see the E36 vert kit is a 30mm/30mm drop, so I rekon you'll be just fine. :=): Rim offsets will make a difference though...

Are Eibach kits not made in Port Elizabeth ? I think there is a website with contact details , I sent them an email recently and got no reply though .

I've got what that other guy has, no issues either...

@ THE ONE - Good stuff! I have had nothing but joy from my setup so far...

@ Dooms - I am using OEM right now, but my right one is stuffed, and I have bought Meyle HD mounts to replace them with. Just need to find the bucks for new shocks before I do this...:flyfun:

As for my wheels - shot dude! :ty: I do think that you may struggle, as it seems that Lenso don't make them anymore :argh: They are BM05's in hyper black.

How much did you pay for Meyle HD mounts ? are they better then OEM ?

What shocks you have in mind fitting on your 328i ?

I have 225/45/17 all round, but it touches the arches at rear sometimes at higher speeds when going through dips or even small bumps. I think it might be an issue with rims being the wrong offset. What is the offset spec for E36? or am I not making sense?

@Dooms - I think they were like R300.00 each, and from what I have read, both locally and internationally, the Meyle parts are at least on par with OEM, if not better. They are manufactured in Germany  I have run with Gabriel Gas Riders up to now, and will be doing the same again. I think it's the best one can do on a budget..

@nazzeem - I have a 35mm offset with 7,5J rims. Not sure exactly what OEM offset is for E36, but that also depends on how wide your rims are. What offset are you running on your rims, and how wide are they?

THAT RIMS IS JUST FOR NOW.. Going to fit the 18'' e36 M3 replica wheels next month, think its gona look sweet, the tyres on the rims now is a bit high in profile, its 45 and i think its suppose to be 40, so a 18'' 225,40 will look nice
