help with a new purchase

I saw a 330i Auto for sale. Car is very clean.
It has 85 000 on the clock. Extened plan which will expire end of this year.

Its le mans blue with sport pack and exclusive pack.
Has xenons, Sunroof, Navigation i-drive, PDC front and rear.

Only thing is that its an 05 model.

were there or are there any comman faults? How is the auto box on these things? Its my first auto that i am buying....

Please help with any info. I want to finalize the deal.

It was marked for R199 999 but i offered him 175 000.....

I had a 2005 that I drove until 165000kms without ANY problems and this was auto too. I am in no way a tame driver.

I bought the car when it had around 109000kms and at that point there was nothing major repaired on the car.

Price isn't the best but with that mileage and extras AND hopefully awesome condition, it's better to spend a few thousand more than to skimp on price and buy something that kills you in the long run.

Give Coisman a PM - Ensure the ODO reading is correct. Dealers have all sorts of tricks these days. Normally if it has below 110k km's chances of tampering is low because of MP logging the readings...

If it checks out OK, you have a good buy :thumbs:

Thanks guys, It isnt at a dealer. Its a private seller. I just got his VIN and checked it with BMW. No Comments and everything checks out.

Don't take too long to determine whether it is good or not cos you will cry when you lose it to someone else and it was a genuinely good deal!!!

If the autobox gives you trouble, you just dump it and install one from a reputable supplier. Never rebuid - IMO.

My 323i e46 had gearbox trouble and that is what I did. R4530 later.
You can do the same should something happen - it is a chance you take when buying a secondhand vehicle.

If I were you, I would find out what a 2nd hand box price is, and then make the deal.

It is a good deal, with all that optional extras.

Went and saw the car in the flesh.....What a disappointment. You just know when a women was the driver...

Front bumper dented in. Scratched on 4 panels. Interior trim scratched....

Just wasted my time...To make it worse the guy said a dealer offered him 175k for it...Which is a load of rubbish....

As a trade in he will be lucky to get 120k....

so the search continues....
