Howzit my fellow siblings,

My GF is looking to buy a mini either 1.6 or a S, :rollsmile::rollsmile:

Budget is about 150k

Any advice on what to look out for would be much appreciated.:thumbs::thumbs:

Cooper S!! THP engine is a gem!!! :rollsmile:

If looked after, you won't have issues!

Cooper S from 2009 upwards should have all the upgraded timing parts... But even the new models have shown slippage. My car came with upgraded timing parts. 2010 model and at 25K mileage the timing slipped...

Also check for oil leaks around the turbo. The oil feed line to the turbo likes to leak by the banjo on top where it goes into turbo and by the motor. These pipes perish and sometimes cake up, leading to premature turbo failures found on these engines. I had an upgraded braided feed line fitted to mine to remedy this. :thumbs:
