Help please!! With voice over control

Hey guys ..

So I have this issue ever since I got the car every time I start the ignition I forced to hear voice control that set in French I presume, I'm assuming it's to do with the Bluetooth or something but not sure as I of course have no clue what she says. It goes on for about 30 secs which is not a big deal but starting to get annoying.

Please view the link of the video to see what I mean..

I would like to know how do I sort this issue out and get the language set in English?? Can it be done as a DIY or will I have to take the car to a BMW dealer??

Sorry for my explanation of this post but your assistance would humbly be appreciated.

That sounds like the Parrot Bluetooth kit's voice...

If I am correct then your day does not have factory Bluetooth and rather the Parrot kit with the Connect2 wiring harness to use the steering wheel button

Easy way to tell if I am right or not... is your Bluetooth setup via idrive and does it work? If not, then you need to do some googling on pairing with the Parrot kit and the Connect2 harness for BMW (unless you have the Parrot buttons mounted somewhere, then just Google for the manual of a Parrot CK3000). If you can't find it.. I think the local agents for Parrot are SMAC and they are very helpful

If I am incorrect and that is factory Bluetooth, then you need to adjust the language of iDrive as per the previous post but i would presume you entire iDrive would then be in French (not enough of a linguist to change mine and test)

Thanks Blankman ...

I have done that but no success. I am sure it is to do with the parrot kit that Jay-Dee has mentioned in the next post.

Put your phone into bluetooth and search for the parrot kit in your car, the pass key should be like 0000 or 1234, hold down the parrot button by pressing it in till you hear a beep sound, it should then pair with those keys
