Help needed: Boost issues

Good day guys

I drive a E90 320d

I have been having an issue since December while on holiday :smashScreen::smashScreen::smashScreen:. The problem is that when I am in the higher gears and put my foot down, the rev needle jumps up a little and then returns similar to when your clutch would be slipping but the problem is the boost is not always there.

So I decided to take a look, not even sure what I was gonna look for under the hood but managed to find a silver pipe that comes from the turbo that looks to be loose if u pull on it.
Is that the boost pipe and is the symptoms similar to what I just described?

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Tighten the loose pipe and take it for a spin :dunno:

Lol.....I wish it was that simple. Looks to have some kinda seal or something. I am no mechanic....as me to fix your pc or server and I will know.

If it's a 320d (LCI) with the clip-off engine cover there is a known issue with the turbo linkage. It's quite an inexpensive repair. You buy the repair kit from BMW. You just need A LOT of patience.
