i use to have this issue alot with my old cars especially when it rained or i hit a huge water puddle.

Tks everyone that tried to assist with this car.....

Turned out to be the earth wires under the intake ... :smilebounce:

took them off cleaned it ... put it back with the original computer box... and fired right up....:thumbs: Anyhow here is a pic of what she looks like in case anyone wanted to see it....

Where are these earth wires? what do they look like? Do they get rusty over time? Does anyone have a picture ? Im sure it would be the same for all M20 engines ?

they sit on the left side one under the diagnostic plug mounting bracket and the other on the engine block under the intake.... just took them off and cleaned with sandpaper and after that she started. :hammerhead:

Earth.....Note to self - Always remember Earth cables when diagnosing faults...OH, and fuel level!!!:hammerhead:

Thats my new motto.... check earth first... not look at it....loosen it clean and put back.... :hammerhead:
