Help - Knocking sound on take off

Hi Guys,

I've noticed a knocking sound every time I take off, seems as though its coming from the front of the car.

Can any one recommend a suspension place near Centurion that can check it out for me.

Thanks

I had the knocking issue and it turned out to be the center bearing. Might be worth a look?

Thanks for the replies guys, the control arms were replaced by the previous owner less than two years ago. Is the control arm bushings also replaced when the control arms are replaced?

Do you know where I can take the car to confirm this or could the nearest tyre shop be able to check this for me?

Its most likely your Flexi disc or drive shaft center bearing. The flexi disc could have broke when they removed your gearbox. The flexi disc is between the end gearbox and drive shaft, which is used as a shock damper. If this is broken its a good idea to get them to replace the centre bearing as well.

Thanks Gizmo and Akash, will take it to a mech to have it checked out. Can anyone recommend a reliable mech in or near Centurion.

Thanks,
