Help! half yellow engine light on bmw e90 320i 2007

Hi guys.
Need some advise before taking my car to have it checked. Recently my engine light came on, half yellow. I checked in my manual and it indicates "loss of engine power".

However, the car seems to be driving normal, although I don't drive fast, I could go to 140km/h easily. I checked on the on board computer and it is giving a CC-ID 29 code. Has anyone had this error before? I want to try and diagnose the issue before I take it to a mechanic, as I don't know much about mechanics and don't want to be ripped off by these guys.

Any comments appreciated. I've been driving the car like this for 3 days now..should I stop? Or can I have the fault cleared if the car is driving normal (to me).

You shouldn't drive the car while in limp mode.

After some Googling turns out CC-ID 29 is a generic engine fault code and you need proper diagnostics to pull the real errors out.
Could be the two Vanos sensors - they go bad after a while.
