Headlight washer cover

I have to start this thread by stating how f*****g angry I am :rage:

Was driving home from work today and a random road sign came flying into my car which has caused some cosmetic damage.

The front bumper now has scratches, some which are deep scrapes, and it managed to take my headlight washer cover out (left hand side).

Does anyone know where I can get this from? I don't even know if it's just the cover or if I need the entire unit (is this even a unit, ffs duno anything about this topic).

Any help would be appreciated

First take a deep breath.

It is just a cover, they can be purchased separately. Its just a cover that clips onto washer unit.

From the Photo it looks like the headlight has damage too? Im pretty sure most of those scratches can be polished out, and the left over damage touched up.

Damn that's bad, think you need to sell me those 313s to repair that :fencelook: .... jokes

Hope you get it all looking perfect again soon, should be able to get it from a dealer

Glad to hear that the covers can be bought separately.

@ShaunB the headlights aren't damaged thankfully.

Do you guys have any idea where else I can source this in Durban?

I called a few scrapyards and they all said that only agents would have this, and if they did have it then they'd have the bumper as well and would sell as a set.

BMW wants R420 for it (unpainted). I feel like this is robbery :hammerhead:

I lost my one cap and then after getting a price I decided to rather just smooth them out on the Msport bumper, seeing as those headlight washers always leak anyways.

I will call a few of my contacts this side and hear if they have anything.

Thanks for offering to help man, I appreciate it.

I haven't had any leaking issues. After smoothing it out -did you code-out the feature?

I zoomed into your pic yesterday and was wondering where yours were..

No need to code out as they can't throw an error. I just plugged the rubber feed pipe.

Thanks guys.

So my options so far is a stealer, JSN and S&I.

Will hopefully get it sorted out sometime next week as the dealer said they have a wait time to get it and ARC (the one most convenient for me) said the same thing :hammerhead:

Yeah I ended buying mine from the stealers , cost me R430 for one , needed it for my M bumper on the Z4 . Found them after I forked out the money on Ebay . They pretty cheap , you will have to wait a bit for it to be delivered but will save you some cash . If you dont smooth them out like Shaun's maybe order extra on Ebay and keep as spares in case anything happens in the future . Oh you will need to have them color coded Yourself.

Best of luck man

You can try looking for spares at Glazier Tech (http://www.glaziertech.co.za/) they based in South Coast road,
You can search for German Car Breakers & YingYang BMW spares.
Got this recommendation from a friend when I told him what happened

Hope it helps out with the search

Had this happen to me a few months ago with my Jeep, car in front picked it up off the road and threw into the passenger side front. Knocked off two covers and gouged the bumper, also scratched the headlight. Man I was so angry. Was going to fix it, but dealership where I traded it in said they could do it for cheaper so let it go like that.

This is exactly what happened to me. The car in front had lifted it off the ground.

I've ordered it from BMW. There seems to be a waiting time for it though so just waiting on their call..

Finally received this part. BMW initially ordered the wrong side.

I've fitted it onto the car for now - still need to get it painted. Glad I have a white car as I'm living the primer life for now :fencelook:
