HEADLIGHT HAIRLINE CRACKS??

Hi All,

I have a E90 335 2008 fitted with Xenon package.

I had one headlight replaced last year by BMW due to a minor bumper bash.

The new headlight is 5 months old and is full of hairline cracks, small and all over the headlight clear part of the light. My other side original headlamp shows none of these signs cracks.

BMW has already said they will replace it, but anyone experience the same effect?
Anybody know what causes it. Can only assume a bad batch of plastic used in manufacturing?

I have tried, but they are so fine, camera doesnt really pick it up. You can see it clearly especially at night when headlights are on and the diffraction shows up the cracking. But then the glare blinds the camera.
