Lol, and downgrade!.... Yes this is a really well made bumper. Seen it in the flesh. And the air curtain concepts functional too, afterall, why not borrow just one part from the 1M , when the 1Ms taken so many from the M3.

The truth is the 1M was conceived from the 135i and uses an existing production powerplant. It's borrowed it's mirrors from the e92 as well as the competition pack dynamics only introduced in the M3.if it wasn't for the 9.5j M3 shoes it would have had the flared fenders. The irony , stepping into daddies ( the daddy) shoes. Even it's name had to me reduced to a lonely M badge as the M1 is exclusively left and reserved for grandad.Will be a nice addition for the wife thought- lol... I still like it though

It has actually borrowed more than just the wheels and mirrors from the M3. It also uses the M3 discs and brake calipers as well as 6-speed manual gearbox and the M3 differential and the motor is from the Z4 35is. So yes, a real Frankenstein, but at least it's more exclusive than the e92 M3. I was looking for an e92WL 4 door M3 when the 1M became available. It was a no brainer for me, in any case.:rollsmile:
Did I Mention the complete suspension setup is also from the M3? And that is actually the reason why they had to fit the flared wheel arches.:rollsmile:
My first choice would still be an e92WL 4 door M3, but they are like hen's teeth in SA. You just can't find one that has not had it's M/P suspended or that had less than 5 or more previous owners.

The bumper looks cool, but I prefer the OEM M bumper.

No probs, my reference to competition dynamics was the brakes....etc- the flares as a result of shoes (10 inch wheels) .Enjoy your ride- for me the 1Mi has the essence of the 2002ti reincarnated and that's always a good thing. Just missing some m technic stipes
