I think it will sell just fine.
We may hate it, myself included, but I'm sure many market analysts much smarter than ourselves have worked out what will sell and what won't to the audience at large.
Seen a few of them, looks good in other colors yes there is a Crimson color too looks decent.. But the price argument comes in again, might as well buy a 3 series then..
Looks good but disappointed with the engine downgrade. I get the improved efficiency and emission argument, but the way 140i tore it apart in a few races, makes you wonder whether it's even worth it. Will also be around the R800k mark. I'll say stick with m140i or m135i, as those will be legendary. For awd experience, and proper super car power, just Stage-2 an R or S3.
The car in person looks a bit better than pics.
But bottom line is its lost the real m135i and the 140i feel and power.
4 pot turbo can never match the 6.
Thats why bmw has decided not to do another run of the new model.
No face lifts either.so around for 5 years only and they will drop in value bigtime.
I'm loving the looks of the new 1er in full Mperf kit. I think it's a big step up from the F series in terms of build quality. Yes the removal of a 6pot and the FWD on the non "baby m" models is a downer, but I think 9 of 10 buyers who buy the non performance models will really care about it.
I wouldn't mind the new m135 as per pics below at all.
