Has anyone done a de-cat on their 6cly E90 yet?

What are the costs involved and where did you have it done?

Thanks guys

it probably has 23 cats so its going to be pricy :) i would be more worried about if the engine will accept a decat... you definitely need to find a place that has done it before

Done the research, the exhaust manifold is split in two pieces. One manifold for the first three cylinders and one for the last three. Each manifold has a cat attached to it so there are two cat converters. There are some senors that will need to be overridden with software

Okay just spoke to Alister at Xcede, there are four cats on the car and they have done a few cars already.

R8000
Remove cats
Make new exhaust manifold
run new piping
and finally update software.

He said that the current system on the manual sport pack exhaust is fine no need to change the box. If it were an auto he would advise adding a box to prevent the car from drone in the cabin.

do the boxes really flow enough with a decat and branch? Surely you would get more if you changed the boxes also?
