What tyres & pressure are you running?

In addition to the above:
1. Balance wheels
2. And do a wheel alignment if you have not done it before.
3. Lastly, consider spacers...it also helps to get rid of the twitchyness at the wheels in the wet.

Thanks.
I have 18" rims with sunny tires (came with the car ) standard springs. I'm using nitrogen 2.3 in the front and 2.4 in the back

I have done balancing and alignment. Would the tires make such a big difference?

At this point it seems mpossible to drive in wet weather, I already lost control of it once in the rain:cry: luckily without any damage

I've changed the rack & tie rod ends, control arms and bushes ( beemow's stuff ) but there's still a play on the steering wheel

Coilovers NO not if they cheap... proper dampers yes...

Tires are very important in the wet so the right pressure and tire is critical...

further more if your shocks are not in the best condition this could cause lack of grip...

The cheap chinese made tyres are horrible in wet weather.

18" non RFT tyres aren't that expensive for a decent brand/rating. You should look at replacing them and flog the current.

Tyres these days is the single most expensive maintenance item on a car with decent wheels. Suspension or tyres. When last did you replace shocks? All bushes ok? Balljoints in good nick?

I agree with all of the above.

The tyres may look good, and thats because these chinese companies either buy old tyre designs or copy them... BUT they do not put the same quality of rubber into the tyres... and that makes a huge difference to the handling characteristics of the car.

If the car is behaving that unpredictably then you must have the suspension & all its components checked asap...

trust me, its the tyres. Previous owner of my car fitted a set of triangle tyres (dont laugh). Grip is good in the dry,but twitchy in the wet. very twitchy.

Tyres in wet is crucial . Achillies tyres on mine and in the wet I don't want to play unless safe as its hard to stick to one lane :nonono:
