Had an accident

On Tuesday, had a Jub Jub day with the Mini :bawling:

Was coming back to the office turning right from John Vorster into Oak Avenue, not going too fast through the intersection. Anyway, did not notice some water flowing across the road and thought nothing of it as I went through. As I hit Oak avenue, I felt the rear coming out - and it took me by complete surprise as my speed was pretty decent (40-60). My reaction time was a bit slow and by the time I tried to correct the situation, I hit the right kerb and clipped the edge of the "Highveld Park" sign/structure.

Luckily there were no other cars (or kids) around. However, I feel like I should :slap: myself, as I should have reacted sooner and could have avoided this situation.

Anyways, went for x-rays yesterday as my neck was sore. Nothing serious - no bone damage, just muscle spasms (whatever, that is) and swelling, so I'm wearing a neck brace for a week or 2.

The Mini however does not look too good :bawling: - yes, I know it's just a car, but, but .... :bawling: :bawling: Just waiting for the insurance to send someone to have a look (car was towed to Sanrose in Midrand) so we'll see what happens.

On a lighter note, while I was waiting for the flatbed to arrive, almost every 2nd guy who drove past and saw the smashed Mini was waving and shouting Jub Jub ...

Sorry bro, that really sucks.

From the looks of it, no serious damage there dude, thats a new bonnet, bumper, light, fender slashguard, some trim, clips..

It does not look like you hit the chassis although you may have pushed the one chassis arm back a bit - maybe, nor damanged anything vital on the drive, so she shall be saved :thumbsup:

Good luck and keep us posted :(
