No one said this car was code 3?

My 325is is code 3, says rebuild on the papers, i really dont mind, its been in a small fender bender, didnt even break the oil cooler.

Its all dependant on what you pay, code 3 cars in general sell for 50-75% of the value of an equivalent code 2.

Its a question of what you are willing to accept.

Thanks for the PM Billybob, I have started the appealing for buyers.

Yeah, before more assumptions get made as to the car, it's not a Code 3.

Thanks for the PM Rhett... replied with details, etc - so good to go.

People seem to forget that code 3 can also mean its a stolen/recovered car...or am I wrong here?

On e-natis it shows that in 1999 it already had 40k km's on the clock, thats about 10k km's per year, add another 120k km's for the next 12 years, thats 160k km's...

Code 3 is when a car was scrapped, either because it was:

1. stolen,
2. or in an accident,
3. or taken over the country boundry into another country without the correct papers,
4. or when I scrap the car because want to, and you need to re-register it.

In all those cases it will become a code 3, and have to have a SAPS clearance done. :thumb:

How come you cannot see before 2006 on my car then?

On this one I can only see owner history from 2001, but in 1999 the km reading was put on the licence papers and thus put on the system.

Dude, not acceptable. Please rethink what you just posted as it is not on. :nonono:

I see your car is up for sale, perhaps bob should make a quick post in there?

not sure what was said, cause it seems it was edited, but to be fair, this is not a FS thread, and that would be sabotage

I only saw the first page, and I thought it was some random car on gumtree, no idea it belonged to a forum member.

Closed.

No need to drag this out. There are loads of theories on why the seats look like they do. My bet is they were swopped by a previous owner, not bob.

Replace the seats and you'll have a nice car. :thumb:
