Good point. Btw did you notice the non-period small screwdriver in the toolkit? That grey handled one is from the E36, the E30 one had a blue handle. The baffling thing about that advert is that it cost the bloke money to publish it.

Seeing that we slicing and dicing...

Whenever I see one off these and guys say it's "original" or "like it came from the factory " two things I look for...

1. M technic badge on boot spoiler and side skirts
2. Front lip...this is the most common missing item as it warps in the heat....

This one does not have it from the pics...

Indeed well spotted, and there's more missing: M badge on the front grille, airflow meter sticker, battery cover screw clip. And unless the radio is left on permanently, the aerial is broken and stuck in the extended position..

From what I can see the front venturi lip is there though? It didn't protrude out very far from under the front bumper and I think I can see it sticking out in the one picture.

And what's with the white asymmetrical dots on/in the front fog lights? Prestik?

Best I recall the M grill badge was not standard fitment on the cars but rather added by owners and some dealers.

Dont think iS's came with electric aerials either, not certain though.
