GRRRR stuck with the 1M

I remember doing a restart at 200km/h on my 335 a few times. With the manual you just push the clutch, hold the start button down & reboot! A bit hairy at 200km/h! Rowen, N54's are VERY VERY sensitive to fuel. They are mapped to run 98RON in stock form, even says so on the petrol flap. But we shall sort it out.

I was wondering about this the whole week. With a normal "turn ignition" system it's easy, but was wondering how to do it with the push button cars.

Thanks Sherwin!

Driving a 1M with a cigar break on the way to work ?? Now that living the good life :inlove:

But seriously, hope you get it sorted Ro. Could be just the battery if you not driving her enough.

Exactly! You know you've made it in life when.....

Hmm, yep, I think it should be fine, just like a 'normal' car - but somehow am a bit too scared to do this with these computerised cars. Something I have also always wondered, what would happen if you eject the key fob while driving, especially with the older E90's that still have the steering lock, like mine?!

Fuel sensitivity on the N54's I can imagine, even my 330i does not seem to like the fuel nowadays and often pinks! :nonono:

The story of my life...Agree.

Once I found the "magic" formula on my car I stick with it. The moment i go outside of "what works" she is not happy at all and this includes mapping and fuel quality. It hates anything below 98 and when i increase octane above 100 Ron...the car just loves being fired up.

Older as in 2005/6 - after this things like the electronic steering lock was removed, software and systems also changed I gather. I also think my car must have been of the really earlier models - even the 'ding' or 'bong' sound that the system makes sounds different compared to later E90's and of course LCI's...

So maybe I have the guinea pig spec! :fencelook:
