Haha sorry. My heart is set on the 320d, im actually trying to get hold of a decent E90 with low mileage. There are 2 lined up, but between dealers who are bastards or unreachable, it has been a pain in the ass. Even though private sales are obviously 'less protected' - im sortof just leaning to that route. I absolutely hate dealerships. And have no interest in buying brand new as that is overpriced imo. But it better be a 320d !

Any thoughts on E90 vs F30 vs all the other ranges? I've heard so many good things about the E90 its hard not to aim for it even though it might be older.

I think you can't go wrong with the 20d, I've only ever heard good things from owners.

According to owners, the build quality is better in an E90 when compared to a F30. But the 8 spd auto gear box in the F30 Trumps the E90 all day. Later tech in the F generation as well.

But I don't think you could go wrong with either.

See, my main thing at this stage is the reliability the E90 has a reputation for. I'm not saying (nor qualified) the F30s are bad. But so many people I've heard praise the E90, it just feels like even if the car is 7 years old, its probably going to do another 7 years if major things like gearbox/pulleys have been sorted (or so i'm told). But thanks, at least I have reason to not exclude the F30 now as well

Just bought a e90 320d in msport with 148k, not easy getting them low and in msport.
