Superb looking car there.

Im really glad that you decided to put in proper brakes. far too many guys put in big power and compromise on the braking and handling.

thanks for being a member on this forum. we look forward to lots of comments and lots of advice from you.

I am also not the biggest E30 fan, but now I want one. What kind of performance have you gotten out of her?

Enough to scare me.

That is interesting stuff with the hybrid M88/S38.
Was the head a straight bolt on (with the timing covers swopped obviously) or did you have to "maak 'n plan" on some of the items.
This car should shunt with the Hp/Kg ratio
:thumbs: :praise::thumbs: :praise::thumbs: :praise:

The head and cam box was a straight forward swap.
The double timing chains and distributor rotor where another story with a lot of measuring and modifications to the crank to accept the bigger diameter lower gear etc etc..
The 1mm valve diameter gain with the S38 head made a lot of difference so much so that I would do it again.

As to it shunting .....well it is not slow but as always there is always another one which will be faster.

I got to see the Winter Car for the first time yesterday and learnt alot about a US spec e30 cabrio, quite a few differences indeed!
I can't believe how OEM the whole conversion looks until you get to the weird radiator piping feeding the tiny radiator. I had a thought about changing out the oil cooler for a Setrab unit with new braided lines mounted behind the left fog mesh, this will give you more airflow over the radiator and give you the extra space needed to fit a thicker core radiator with a high cfm slimline fan.

So...........
My heater blew well more like leaked due to the incorrect antifreeze mix as well as cheap antifreeze.

In addition I tried to start the car recently and it was spluttering and misfiring and then proceeded to die so had to change the distributor cap which had lost its center pin (carbon)

How is this for tight

To get to strip the heater hoses the intake plenum requires removal.
Thought I should show you what the s38 head looks like with the TBs

While you are at it pull the little radiator and go larger and move the (setrab) oil cooler over to the side, you have the air feed points without fogs. Alternative is like the ferrari (multi radiator) you have the space and the know how.
