hi to everyone...
first off congrats on a excellent forum... there's a lot of great advice and wealth of knowledge from you guys.
after a very long search to find a descent car I managed to bought a stunning 530d e60 m sport 2006 model.
I was first interested in a manual 530d e60 2004 model but it was pushing 300k km and it was also smoking excessively under load
any case. I bought this one with only 155000km on it and except for the front bumper that have some scratch marks on it it is in a very good state. Pulling like a train with absolutely no exhaust smoke under load what so ever
long story short I only have this vehicle for two weeks now but I'm very impressed with it

OK these pics where takin when I bought the car...

was full of dust but still a beautiful ride
this vehicle was bought from a gent working for Bavaria Midrand... the car was actually still on there name. He is 'n mechanic with them and pointed out all the faults on it.
the front bumper was damaged due to a truck bursting a tyre in front of the original owner and he being the unlucky guy behind him. I need to have the bumper repainted and also the right front fender liner needs to be replaced as well as the brake air duct on that side. a scratch over the fender and bonnet as well from this incident.
when I went to collect the vehicle he told me that he have pulled the vehicle on a lift at work for a suspension inspection and that the transmission pan had a small leak. He even gave me transmission fluid and was prepared to come and do the job for me... but me staying in polokwane I opted to do it myself
I have replaced the transmission sump pan and oil last weekend and with a original zf sump pan only costing me R1260 I think it was a job well done
the undercarriage of this car is in a excellent condition with no damage what so ever...
due to the fender damage on this vehicle Bavaria only offered the original owner 60k for the car... and he bought it for that price.
well he was tight on cash and I offered him R64k for the car..
the rest is history
now I only need to source the above mentioned parts then I can have the bumper repaired and I'm good to go
