Kish, a huge thank you for rounding up the KZN guys. received the list this morning and seeing 22 names of which more than half are confirmed, the rest just need to pay. Plus Derrick and his 3 thugs. We should be seeing about 25 of us in Clarens which is a number i expected (More would be awesome) but its better than nothing! :thumbs:

Guys, this is an epic trip that every petrolhead needs to do. I organized one earlier this year, turnout was disappointing but those that came loved it.
Unfortunately i will not be able to attend this as the dates clash with my re-spraying a car that I'm busy building over that weekend.
You guys need to go from Harrismith to Phutaditjaba, then through the park to Clarens. Epic stretch of pot-hole free tarmac with beautiful scenery.
Just remember one thing, as you climb the pass through the park, just after you cross the mountain crest, there are a few non-marked speed bumps. they are not big, but if you hit at speed you will fly. On my first trip last year I hit one with the X5 and flew a good couple of metres.
For those with thirsty cars, fill up at the Engen as you get off the N3 in Harrismith, or at the Bergview 1-stop. The only petrol station in Clarens is a no-name brand and I wouldn't advise to use it.
If you guys are staying at the Park's hotel, it is very decent and the staff is very friendly.
Buy a park day pass, this allows you to take the little roads inside the park that are so stunning. A few kms on the way back to Phutaditjaba there is a turn off on your right, turn right there and follow the tar road. This is what the scenery looks like there:
Dont take the one to your left as the road is not tarred in places and pretty crappy.
