Thanks for organizing Arbee/Fuzz?Firoze

at last count about 11 or 12 members arrived
If I look at the invoices I think we did extra trade for about 5 or 6 members

by 14h30 started packing up as most members had already left, and then I buried myself in the office to catch up on the paperwork until about 15h15

One last member arrived around 14h50 (white E36 M3 from Centurion) sorry didn't get the name to place with the face....sorry that we were just about locked up by then.

Thank you for the support, those that did physical trade and those that made a cash donantion, every bit helps to trying to keep the doors open into Jan 2015

hopefully a few extra future deals will come out of this

Nice to meet you too Burgy....just maybe, in the future, we can work on a referral relationship to increase the "feet" turnover thru the shop.

Thx for the alignment. The 'full house' treatment made a definite improvement to my handling as well. Steering and control is now a lot sharper!

Hi everyone, thanks to those that attended and supported! :coolshake:

Sadly the shop was closed early, well before the event was scheduled to close, leaving many members out, and of course missing out on the income...

Also, I found it in ill taste that a member was told by staff that they would not be able to do alignment on his car. It seemed like they were rushing off and trying to close early? And a definite no was the dude doing the alignment who smelt strongly of alcohol :thumbsdo:

Aside from that, it was a good event!

I was really looking forward to getting my alignment sorted this afternoon. Shut my business down an hour early and began the 100km trek from my business to speedway.

I called Arbee to confirm I left at just after 1.30. Was throughly dissapointed in mamagment and stagg to recieve a call ,as I just did 80km to say ralf is shutting down at 2.30 and speedway staff are saying they can't do more cars. I was only making the trek to support a fanatic and did state I was gonna be there after 2.30. A few another fanatics were coming through at the same time as well, as not of us could making the morning shift. To those that supported and donated for the event, big ups to you.

Being the owner of my own business, i am fully aware of the time, effort and pure dedication that is needed to make a go of it in these current conditions. One has to be on top your game, and really go the extra mile if you want to realise potential, anything less will just result in failure.

Wishing you the best of luck in your current and future ventures ralf.

The balancing and alignment made definite difference on the 330d. There was a vibration on the chassis at highway speed which has now totally disappeared.

I hope the balancing weights wont be blown off by the Karcher the next time i wash the mags.

Thanks to the 4 other fanatics that were there early this morning for the company and the chat. It was great meeting you guys. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

While i was there many of the staff were already discussing the big Pirates VS Chiefs match which was scheduled for today and i can only assume thats one of the reasons they were in a rush.

I must agree, a lot of people put their days on hold to support this - I even had to give up detailing for the weekend, just so I could help with making this a success.

Furthermore I'll have to get my car done somewhere else as I don't condone people under the influence working on my car.

I do wish you the best Ralf, though I also would like to wish you the ability to better manage and control your business better.

Gizmo.was there at 09:50, Samman325 was there when I got there at 10:30 and shortly after that was Gbyleveldt. As well as the guy with the black Z3. We waited till almost 12:30 before more fanatics arrived.
In my opinion it was not worth it financially for Ralf to pay the staff overtime for a few more fanatics at the last minute when he was possibly gonna break even from overtime costs vs revenue generated.

Frankly, if guys could not make it earlier in the day when u would HAVE to get it done at other shops on a Saturday, then make arrangements for another time.

Yuben....I didn't have to drive all the way to do alignment. I've got a fitment center less then a K from where I live. I was doing it to help out fanatic... as we're others who could only make it in the afternoon. The time stipulated was till 4, the entire workforce was not needed, just 2 guys as requested. What you say about the guy who got turned away?

The fact of the matter is that if there was an ice cream run at 12:00 today, the response would have been greater.

I don't buy the fact that guys had to give up things to do to be there.

If that was the case,I would have seen many more guys there by the time I left.

All the best Ralf, hope you are able survive, whichever way, I'm sure you will choose the right path for yourself...

Yes granted the response was terrible to say the least and yes other events pull a bigger crowd. That is extremely sad, however it takes two hands to clap and maybe I just pissed I had to shut down my operations early on a Saturday, which is a busy day and then hear it was for nothing.

Well my round trip to and from Speedway was 104km. So my purpose was also to help out my friend Ralf.

Cannot comment on the guy that got turned away. But from the time when I left, there was not much more cars requiring work.

So I still stand by, it was not feasible to hold till16:00, for.a few more cars.

I read between the lines a fair amount of frustration from you.

Your desire to help a fellow fanatic is admirable, however as it is "help" one gives it if one is so inclined.

Clearly not many were so inclined and for that one cannot accuse them of disinterest as life gets in the way.

Not being judgmental of your perspective merely giving a different point of view.
