Got rid of the MINIs...time for a 220d

Hi All

In 2012 i was being silly and bought numerous minis...8 in fact...in 10 months.

Coupés hatches clubmans etc

I was left with 3 of them up until last week...when i finally got rid of them all.

I traded them...for this ...

220d Msport with some nice extras like reverse cam, connected drive etc

I had endless issues with MINI and the cars were constantly in the dealerships, clutch problems below 20k km...cars cutting out under load...bmw giving me the run around as to the repairs and problems.

My one MINI was with a dealer for 13 months before i got it back....yes 13 months....during that time they crashed it , refused to replace my clutch because they cancelled motorplan because of paint damage ...i ended up taking it to Bodo the MD of BMW SA....anyways...I'm just super happy that i finally got rid of them before motorplan ran out next month.

I wouldn't advise anyone to buy the R5x minis...i had a few...all with problems....maybe a non S would last...who knows...everyone that I've spoken to so far had issues with their S's/JCW's.

I'm glad we are back in bmws.
It cost me R180k shortfall to get rid of those suckers!!

Problem cam in with the R56

The Coopers have no issues.

The R53 was good, but old now.

Great car, looks epic.

No disrespect bud, but after the 3rd one giving you trouble I think you should have realised that they are all going to be crap and changed brands then.

Mini should give you a medal for continuing to support them !

The problem was that in the first 10 months non of them gave problems....only when you hit the 15k-20k km mark that the problems started !!
