Probably not even known by most people but Vitours have proven to be a very cheap but sticky rubber for a number of guys here in the Cape, chosen over the more expensive variants as well. Guys I know all have 700+nm cars and complimented it's grip over other manufacturers.
Plus they pretty damn cheap.

You can also look into seeing if anyone still stock Vredesteins.

Dev, will look into these. Thanks brother!

Gents just to be a pain, but it is Toyo Proxes, no “I” in there...

Semis on a car that doesn’t get driven regularly is a bit of a waste.
Semis are a funny thing, very much “use it or lose it”, they start deteriorating as soon as you scrub them in.

Even the set of Proxes T1 Sports on my ‘46 M has seen better days now, about 10,000km’s in 3 years, the rears are toast, compound has gone hard, so spin fiesta in the lower gears. The problem is semis will go for a ball in a much shorter time frame.

Does this apply to the Michelin Cup range as well, do some semis hold up better? 10k mileage sounds tragic.

Can confirm what @flyitlikearental posted about the tyres going hard...

My rear Proxes are pretty much done for... even though they have tonnes of tread left. The set is over 3 years old with less than 10 000km on them (I am out of country alot for work so the car sits for many months at a time).

I had the same happen to my Michellin Pilot Supersports a few years back. Just went hard and lost all traction.

And that is why you fit some Goodyear Eagles. Mine have done 30 000km in 3 years and still grip hard. Granted i don't track it and tracking road tyres toast them, and tracking semi's toast them since they have X amount of heat cycles before going hard.

My Proxes are about 4 years old and have started showing cracks. They have about 13000 Kim's. All still have at least 75% thread. My issue is that they are losing pressure.

Probably get another set just go 295/19 at the back instead of the 275 currently.
