I have been going through all the menu's on the F20 M135i 2014 and found that the hidden menu section is now a lot better.
Once in with your code (last 5 digits of vin no.) and you select say "temperature" ALL the temperatures appear on your screen. So now it is possible to see oil,water,o/s temp raw and temp all at once.
I wonder if there is a software update for the older models?

Hidden menu?
Please elaborate?
Thank you.
Is it possible to enter this menu on any vehicle with idrive?
Thanks again.

I've got an early model and it has always shown all those temps you've listed phantom. Perhaps your older car didn't have black panel and as such you haven't scrolled down to view the other data?

Do you maybe have SATNAV in your car with extended instrument cluster? If you do maybe that is where the difference comes in.On one car i do and on the other not. Both are 2014.
On the car without the SAT if you go to temperature you have to choose which one and only that will show.eg. oil temp 116degrees.
On the car with SAT all the temperature settings are there immediately.
So now while driving you can see oil, water, outside etc all shown at once.

Yes i activate mine when i start up in the morning so i can see when the engine temps are optimal.Your oil needs to be at least 80 degrees before getting aggressive. But yes you can activate anytime in the drive.

I have posted this also with detailed steps  Although i have not tried it myself

Start the engine and keep the doors and boot closed so that you don't have a warning message displayed
Keep the odometer reset button pressed until the Board Computer screen changes (around 10 seconds)
Release the button when the screen changes. You'll see a nice menu with numbered options. To scroll through the options just press the odometer button
Go to option number 4 (UNLOCK) and then press the odometer button for a couple of seconds to enter the menu for this option. It will ask for the unlock code.
Don't panic! You have the code, it's the sum of your car's VIN number's last 5 digits. For example, if the last 5 digits on the VIN of your car are 12345, the code is 15.
To enter the code, you have to press the odometer button for as many times as the sum indicates. For the example we showed you at step 5, you'll have to press the button 15 times.
After inserting the code, press the odometer reset button for a couple of seconds to go to the previous menu, revealing the secret menu.
That's it! Now you can do all sorts of things with your hidden menu: check oil temps, coolant temps, MPG, etc. Enjoy!
