Hey guys!

Does anyone know of any good mechanics in Cape Town? I have a issue on the front left hand side of the car which could possibly be the CV (so Ive been told). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi buddy. There's a guy in promenade road in lakeside. I haven't had any work done by him but he's always busy(E46's 330i,760i,z4,z3, just to mention a few) had a chat to him about clutch replacement and he seems quite knowledgable. I can't even give u a number tho. I'll see if I can get contact details. Otherwise Mech5 in town are really good. Bit pricey tho

I always go to Bruces in Kenilworth I think the actual garage is called Brilliant mechanical workshop. They always help me out and do little things for me of no charge. But i have been going to them for awhile. And there are only bmws in their workshops when I go there occasionally there are 1 or 2 other types of cars.

I had a very good experience with Zeemax in Paardeneiland.
Very helpfull, very profesional, and they keep being friendly even though I was a bit of a pain in the ass at times.
The problems on my car they fixed are 100% solved afterwards and they tried saving me money all the way, even though they didn't had to.
Thumbs up for Zeemax

Do you perhaps have contact details for Bruces in Kenilworth? Looked online...only Bruce Craig who's situated in Maitland.

If the problem is on your BM, just don't take it to the guy that said it could possibly be your CV:fencelook:

I can recommend someone private that use to work on my car and is brilliant. IMO he's workmanship is even better than the likes of Bruce's etc. He's in Portlands Mitchells Plain though so let me know if you want he's details.

Just took my E36 into them today and although I got alot of bad news about the car I can gladly say that they were thorough, friendly and the level of workmanship high.

Thanks for putting me in touch with them and would recommend them to any BMW Fanatic

Glad you had a somewhat good experience. What was their diagnosis?

Wow there is alot of issues! Basically the parts in the car havent been changed since the car came off the factory floor so yeah, lots of leaks and wear. Rough estimate 20K : ( My lights just went on the blink so driving at night means driving with brights and my front control arms need to be replaced.

All of the above said I wont give up on her. I'll put the money in where its needed and she'll see a whole new life. (Amazing how you get attached to your car in this way)
:inlove:

So yeah thats the run down. Like I said I dont have the fill list but its a sh*t load of stuff!
:argh:
