Hello Guys and girls

I have always been a great supporter of BMW products but could never afford one.
At the moment I am in such a good space that I can buy one cash now.
It is a 2006 BMW 530D for 100k.Is that a good price . I have the photos of the vehicle and it looks immaculate. Is there someone who can help me so I can get the history of the vehicle please.

Kind Regards

PM Coisman and ask very nicely for him to check the plates and once you have the vin send it to BMW and check what they have say about the car.

Why is it in a field, cause of tractor engine?

Send a private message to Coisman. Also take a drive to your nearest dealer and tell them that you plan on buying this car but you would like a look at the dealership history for your sanity. Also ask the current owner if he has full service history (dealership and/or private).

Tx for the advice guys....I spoke to a nice lady in Upington about the service history. She was really helpful.

I think the owner of the vehicle isn't being truthful. In 2009 mileage was recorded at 92k km The motorplan expired in 2011.
In 2012 they did the battery thing at a Dealer and the car was recorded to have 170k km on the clock.

The owner is telling me the car has 105k km on the clock.
I am starting to think twice.

Always double check. Better to be safe than sorry. Lots of dodgy sellers out there waiting to rob unsuspecting people. Hopefully you find something for sale on the forum you like.

I would exercise some caution...imo the price is on the cheap side for a '06 sportpack 530d.

Walk away, if it sounds to good to be true it usually is.

For R 100 000 you can buy a very nice e46 330d but you will have a bit of maintenance to do, search the forum there is lots of info on the e46's.

This is common on the second hand market, people looking to make a quick buck. Also if you can, take someone that knows these cars to go with you to have a look or have a look on your behalf. Some very helpful forumites on this site.

A quick look on the Autotrader website confirmed that the price is quite low. Clocking these cars is possible for those in the know. Seems like it happened here. I have heard that the mileage is recorded in more than one place in/on the car and that the clockers don't (or can't) tamper with them all.

Walk away bud. If the mileage has been tampered with you are opening yourself to a world of hurt.
