That torque curve is addictive AF

Add : There is an option that you can code under E-SYS that allows you to see the playlist as well as per your scholly wheel thingy on the steering wheel. Which means you can use the HUD to change tracks, not a standard code in SA.

You can also add a few other bobs and bits to the hud, turn signals ect.

PM if you want details.... but ESYS... because ESYS

Picker her up at mid-day...wow. So much power and I am a HUD convert. Never understood the point of them but having one makes so much sense.

Will post some more photos over the weekend.

I have my cable ordered already and the software setup and ready to go. Expect a PM from me soon :-D

I did do an update to the headunit last night as well as load the 2018 Premium maps. So nice that these things can be done through USB.

I spent the last hour or so literally going over the car with a toothbrush, making sure the drain holes are clear, treating the rubbers, plastic (what little there is) and the swathes of leather, treated the glass with anti-fog, cleaned all the wood and other shiny pieces. It's dusk now so I will post some photos after I've had her washed tomorrow.

Initial impressions:
1) The ride quality is very good considering the low profile 20s and lowered ride height
2) Comfort is great, but Sport+ is by far my favourite driving mode
3) The exhaust burps are awesome
4) CIC is getting on in years, so I will be ordering a NBT-EVO retrofit shortly
5) Fuel economy...hahahaha...but then I am driving it like a new car :-D

Fuel economy, with normal driving an the occasional burlp of insanity is actually not that bad.

I average around 13.5l/100. If I behave myself sticking to the speed limits I can get it down to 12. It is the lightest BMW V8 I have owned, but yea, not exactly a yaris, although I believe the aircon puts out more then the yaris….

With regards to the NBT retrofit, take a looksie if you can get one of those android replacements. It basically changes the CID and that's the only mod. No cutting wires..

You keep the original setup, but with a touch of a button, you have an android based device, which give you far more flexibility.

A mate of mine just his in his F10, and it cost him under 10k ZAR, I am impressed

NBT retrofit is possible, but all of your FARKA cables that goes to the boot for aerials and stuffies need to be moved to the front, so its a fair amount of work,

Below are a couple of pics taken today. Not the best weather today but I think the photos look good nonetheless. The interior looks mint!

“Tomorrow” looks like it was a spectacular day, what a beautiful car!

To be honest, I had my heart set on a Jag XJ. The dealer I purchased the 6er from had an XJ as well, and I got into the Jag and though "holy f this stunning"...but the I tried working the touch screen and touched the steering wheel controls and was like "yeah...nah".

I loved my 645ci...the looks, the lines, everything. I'll be honest and say that the F12/13 took time to grow on me but boy...this 6er is just something else.

On a side note, I found out yesterday that my car's sticker price when new was $249,950! :fencelook:

Also, how amazing is it when systems work well. Viewed the 6-er on Thursday morning, applied for finance at 12pm, approved and sent for payout by 5pm. Only thing I sent for finance approval was my license and proof of address. Picked up the car at 12pm on Friday with only verbal confirmation from the AA (who did my finance) to the selling dealer. Ownership change done by 10am on Saturday morning.

Then I thought back on the mountains of paperwork, bank statements, blood samples, and the signing over of your first born required when financing a car in SA lol. Hopefully things have become simpler there now.

Wow...amazing. Congrats again.:praise:

Ps. Buying cars in SA has unfortunately not become simpler.

What’s the “on the road” scam fees there and interest rates?

Only saw your question now, sorry.

My interest rate is 9.25% and I paid no on-road :)
