those e90 wheels fit the car really nicely :) what size tires you running?

Thanks! They're the normal 225/45/17's - these are actually still my 330i's wheels with the terrible Conti RFT's. The set that belongs to this car has the same size tyres but the Hankooks.

Great job Phil!

The car looks fantastic, so smooth and so good looking with those wheels. :inlove:

Thanks Mike! Most E90 wheels seem to work very very nicely on the E46's! Offset makes the car look a lot more aggressive than the standard E46 wheels' offset... :inlove:

you just helped me decide what size spacers to run... was going to go with 20mm now i think i will go with 25mm
those wheels sit 27mm further out than mine... so 25mm should not rub with lowering springs

It should work perfectly - but, if you were to use a set of E90 narrow/wides, I think the wides would give you some hassles! My father in law has the 18" Ellipsoids on his 328i but also has Yokohama tyres on the rear which for whatever reason seem to be wider on the side-walls than they should be for their size (normal 255), so there is the occasional rubbing when there are passengers in the rear. This and of course the wides have a slightly higher offset so stick out a bit more than the narrows...

That's what must be rubbing with his car, and of course the shocks being slightly tired is not helping... :fencelook:

Great job, car looks like new

Thanks! Getting there - still a lot to do in order to get her back to mint. Some of the chrome trim is fairly pitted, so would need to replace. Front bumper was injured at some point by the previous owner, and probably better to replace it. But overall the car is pretty clean, so intention is to keep it that way and improve as much as possible.
