Hi all,
Following the international scene of events and trying to stay at the fore with ideas, we are considering bringing the 'Swap Meets' idea to BMW Fanatics / The Fanatics.
The premise is simple:
You have something to sell / swap / barter, you bring it with on the day of the planned meet, you engage the people around you, strike up your deal and everyone is happy. Whatever you choose to sell could be your car, a sound system, kids toys, whatever you choose. Also, this sort of meet appeals to our advertisers to come through and display their wares as well as services.
The aim is to get everyone social by means of having stuff on sale. It also appeals to the broader community as it's not focused on the quality of your car, but rather what you're willing to sell, trade or barter. The forum will provide a platform and you will have the freedom to conduct your own deals - think real life gumtree without the fraudsters.
The model will also be supported by a forum thread, detailing what you're bringing with so other users have an idea of what's to be on offer. I think it's a very sustainable platform as it promotes a better way of conducting business and social networking via the trusted BMW Fanatics name.
Any thoughts or ideas that you're willing to share? Let us know.
