Had a mishap this afternoon:argh::argh::argh:
Damn driver window gave in and got stuck halfway.
Drove in the cold from Sandton to West Rand :thumbdo:
Luckily I managed to get it closed when I got home.
So I need to wash in the morning.
Hope I don't get too late

Ok, we ready for the crowd. Entrance table is setup. All ready...
When you enter the airbase, the guards will tell you where to go.
You will see our entrance entrance table. Stop there, fill in/pay for your entries. Then we will direct you to parking etc.
Its lekker warm on the field. little wind but the sun is nice and warming.
Get over here.
We have coffee on sale for those who are still feeling cold.

I can't make it today. My cooling system sprung a leak on my way home from the meet last night. :thumbdo:
All the radiator places seem to be closed today. Wanted to get a pressure test done and sort the car out before I can come through. Clearly that's not going to happen. :argh:

Got there later than I wanted to. But still met up with some awesome fanatics. Got some great shots for a little vid. Will upload it later.

The day moved so fast I completely forgot about doing a vote of thanks, so im going to post it here.
First and foremost, today was a major learning curve for me. The event could have been huge but God works in mysterious ways. Today was enough, the event was huge enough for my crew and I to manage. I hope each and everyone one of you had massive fun cos I know I did.
To you that attended and made the day a success, respect and thank you. You made the day great. Our community has grown, its amazing seeing everyone together doing what we do best. Thanks to everyone that supported this event and BMWFanatics, you made it a huge success.
To the chaps thats helped - Moesky, Fuzz, Jody and your brother, Rob, V.R Sexy6 and company. Theres a lot more but these come to mind now. Big ups to you guys, you have helped me sooo much today and along the way. Words cannot express my gratitude towards you.
Frs01, big thanks for arranging the venue. It was perfect. Thanks to Swartkops Airfoce Base for allowing us use of the venue and for arranging the helicopter ride.
Divio, this guy deserves rep points gallore. His effort, skill and dedication towards the photoshoot is epic. I dont know how to thank tou enough.
To Ignition TV and Speed and Sound, thanks for coming through to capture the event and we thank you for the feature in advance. The exposure is appreciated and we will be inviting you for all events going forward.
Hope you guys enjoyed the warm weather, food, hot chocolate and most importantly, your day with the fanatics.
Now that the day is over, you guys probably want to know who won the show and shine and whats the process now with the pics and monies donated.
Donations will be given to Gift of the Givers fund and a portion to the Swartkops Airforce Museum. I will finalize figures in the week.
I will post Show and Shine winners tomorrow.
Photoshoot - Divio will take the pics and spruce them up a little. Once done and please note, Divio has a dayjob and does the photography as a hobby. So as soon as they are ready, we will post up a Link to dropbox where all the pics will be uploaded. You can then view and download the pics as you please.
