There might have been a time that Gabriel made decent shocks, but from what I have seen that time is long gone, their shocks are rubbish. Front set on the 540i lasted maybe 20k km. Personally I wouldn't even do it if they where giving them away for free but that's just me.
Save your money get a set of proper shocks.

Also remember that not all bilsteins are created equal, B4's although carrying the bilstein name are also pretty meh.

Gabriels are not that good anymore to be honest...

I had better results with Burly Pro's that i fitted when i just got the touring.

I removed the Burlys last week and installed Bilsteins and trust me,if you want the best, Bilsteins wins hands down..

If you on a budget, get the Burly Pro's.
MIne were still 100% working condition after just over 2Years.

Sold them to my friend for his touring and So far, he is a happy camper

Koni is also very well priced...

Give ashley at Koni a shout!

+1

Don't skimp on shocks, rather save a bit longer and get a proper set. Gabriels don't last and unless you're going for higher end Bilsteins, the B4's from imcomex are the basic entry level shocks and the same price as the Koni's from Ashley. Koni is superior product.
