G01 X3 Automatic braking?

Hi all

I have a G01 X3 that is equiped with park assist. The issue i am having is that the car automatically brakes if the sensors pick up something too close (still plenty of space by my standards) when in reverse. I have had times when car gaurds have stood too close and the car would automatically hit brakes violently. Once i couldnt reverse down a steep driveway once i reached the bottom the sensors decided that road level was an object and engaged brakes.

It only occurs in reverse and i have tried switching park assist off however the car still does this. Any idea how to turn this feature off?

Thanks

Hmm, I have experienced similar with my 540i and when it happens for no real reason it is annoying!
With my car I am able to give it more throttle and then I can continue to reverse (feels as if I need to give it enough throttle to power through the braking), the one time I think it happened because there was a leaf stuck to the rear bumper and was covering the one PDC sensor and when I got close to the pillar by the gate it thought I was for sure going to crash into something and applied brakes.

I had it happen once while reversing out of my garage, which is a tighter fit due to the size of the car and the garage being double but with 2x single garage doors on the outside (so pillar in the middle), I had to drive forward and then reverse again. So you're not alone on the false positives.

No clue how to turn it off though, would be good to know incase I ever need to disable this.

The first few times with my G20 was similar experience. Car does not like getting close to anything when reversing and brakes violently.
What I do is I hit the 360degree camera button and it then deactivates the automatic braking.
I hit the button again to turn on the cameras and aerial view once I am past the object.
