Hey Guys and Gals
Thanks for your well wishes. Well um thus far I am completely enjoying my new ride! Sy is awesome to say the least! Kabal's beast is a beaut so dont even want to compare the two!
Mine stood for a while (about 2years) before I bought it. Its actually a 2001 model (although registered 2008). Mileage 120k. The pocket was only soo deep
I didnt exactly lose the e36, she's in my garage, and I simply cannot get myself to let her go. She's definately repairable, still drives, actually when you're inside you wouldnt know the difference! We are keeping it as a race car.
As for safety, she took a punch, but the chassis hasnt been damaged, not even the windows popped and are all in tact. The assessor's response was, "your choice of vehicle possibly saved your life or prevented serious injury (my daughter was on the side of the impact too). your car comes standard with built-in re-enforcement."
All I can say is, the Subaru that drove into me had no front left, its bonnet was crumpled up against the windscreen. Subaru was a wright-off and had to be towed away.
As for the estimation on the cost of repairs, pleasingly not as much as we thought! :thumbsup:

I would have sold her for R50k at the time. Someone offered me R35k for the engine (and what an engine she has)! I was mortified to even consider breaking up my car and selling of her parts! Although come to think of it, I'd make a hellovalot more than R50k!

Yeah if I really wanna attract attention and sympathy, I pull out the old "Blue" and take her for a spin!
Hellas, I never thought of it that way now that you mention it! I have a garage full of TESTOSTERONE! Just a pity the one needs a bit of cosmetic surgery! I just call it "WAR-SCARS!" adds a bot of finesse dont you think?
