fuel sender unit breaking.

I have a Z3.2002, 3.0.
Tuel gauge reads empty, even after refueling.

I have replaced the sender unit four times (twice at auto umhlanga),the ceramic chip still breaks.

It is the gold system fuel sender unit.:dunno::dunno:

my question is, How do i fix it/ resolve the problem?

Take it to BMW and let them fix it. I believe there was a recall on these sender units. So far so good, mine has been ok! But was replaced before at the agents.
