Fuel Pump help

Hi guys!!

I drive a 1983 518i automatic bmw. I need to buy a new fuel pump and I have no idee where to start looking or what I can expect to pay for it.

This is my first car and I love it to bits.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sound like you're looking for rocking horse manure. Your best bet would be to source a pump of similar size to fit in the housing and hopefully deliver the correct pressure.

I think that car has bosch k-jetronic fuel injection which uses the high pressure pump(6bar). They go for about 1500 at the normal parts store. I fitted one in my 540 a while ago.
