ok so my Fuel pump seems to be on its way out.. Moaning Regulator and having to Prime the Pump 6 times before starting. that's the only time she will start first time and idle and not start and die immediately.

BMW wants 5k for a complete Pump :hammerhead: ....
Goldwagen wants 3k for a complete pump
Midas wants 1200 for a complete pump ...

Now, the options are to buy a Bosch or Pierburg pump only and fit to the carrier but I dont want to be the loser when the Carrier is Fooked and then i cant return the Loose item

What do you guys think of the pump to be used? what brands have you used? Midas one is an Arrow Fuel Pump brand ...will the Carrier give me busted up readings? anyone used Arrow brand?

Try Diesel Electric?

Although i'm guessing their pricing wont be far off those.

Bosch FTW!

Was thinking Bosch / Pierberg ..
I called Ivan at Diesel Elec and wow, pricing is insane...

So was just wondering about the generic Pumps complete with Carriers.

This is the Midas brand..

12month/30 000km Warranty
Cost = R990 complete

I bought it as its the last one in stock just in case mine dies on me. but im not sure if i should replace it and see how it works? its a 4bar Pump i believe and only thing i need to reuse is the rubber seal.

My current pump is already dieing out on me so want to avoid doing work on the road side cause it died..
My gut still telling me to get a Seibring, Pierberg or bosch

your thoughts will be appreciated

im sure it will be fine mate.... you guys in ZA have good quality fuel, so it should last a while...and the price doesnt seem bad at all especially with a new carrier and all
