FUEL LEAK!

Hi guys,,noticed a fuel leak from the pipe that runs from the fuel filter to the fuel rail on an E30 325i plastic bumper,,the thing thats got me puzzled is,,after i drove the car,,parkd of for a while and started again,,the leak was not evident any more.,any idea whats goin on ther guys?Any input wil b apreciated

Replace that line immediately, I wouldn't drive around the block like that!! Leaking fuel = fire. Make sure to get it done by a good hydraulics shop, and don't use midas pipes, no matter if it says 20 bar fuel pipe. Get Goodyear Bigfoot pipes or similar.

I agree with this!! many years ago my dad had an old 525i and one of the fuel pipes had a bit of a leak? he smelt the fuel inside the car and switched the car off straight away, and opened the bonet to check as he opened the bonet the fuel leaked onto the exhaust manifold and it was too late, it sounded like a bomb had gone off and the fire bregade had to come to the rescue and put the fire out, luckily my dad wasnt injured but his eye brows and front part of his hair was completely gone lol

Seriously not something you want to mess with, dont use that car to get the new fuel lines either get a lift or something leave that car parked till its fixed!
